Eliminating spatial beam-squint dispersion in wideband phased arrays through switched optical and RF true-time-delay lines.
In 30 GHz wideband arrays, phase shifters introduce frequency-dependent steering angle deviations (beam squint). Left uncorrected, high-frequency radar subcarriers illuminate different physical locations than low-frequency subcarriers, distorting target images.
ISACRF replaces conventional phase shifters with switched true-time-delay stages built from artificial transmission lines and optical delays. Signal propagation delay is independent of carrier frequency, maintaining razor-sharp pencil beams.
